Bachelor Degree

General requirements

The general requirements for a bachelor’s degree programme candidate are:

  • Graduated from high school or its equivalent (with the minimum of 12-years-schooling)
  • Demonstrate good command and knowledge of English as proven by one of the following English language proficiency results:

a)       Institutional  testing  program (ITP) TOEFL with a minimum score of 500

b)      Computer-based test (CBT) TOEFL with a minimum score of 173 (CBT)

c)       Internet-based test (iBT) TOEFL with a minimum score of 61

d)      IELTS with minimum score of 5.5 (General Test)

Some faculties may require a higher TOEFL/IELTS score. If the applicant has or will have received a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, he/she does not need to submit TOEFL/IELTS certificate.

  • Indonesian language proficiency test (TIBA) certificate with a minimum score of 4, or Indonesian Language Score (BIPA) certificate with a minimum level of 3. Some faculties may require higher TIBA/BIPA score. TIBA/BIPA certificate is a mandatory document in particular faculties. If the applicant has or will have received a degree from an institution with entirely the class in Indonesian, he/she does not need to submit a TIBA/BIPA certificate.
    • Demonstrate good academic grades as shown by his/her academic report/transcript.
    • Some universities or programmes require the applicants to take an admissions test/examination.

 

Documents required

The following documents are required for application to the bachelor's degree programme. Some universities or faculties may request the applicant to provide other supplementing documents.

  • Valid non-Indonesian passport
  • Recent close-up photos
  • High school certificate/diploma or equivalent
  • High school academic transcript or equivalent
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Recommendation letter (applicant’s school/institution)
  • English proficiency certificate
  • Indonesian language proficiency test certificate
  • Motivation statement
  • Health certificate
  • Financial statement
  • Personal statement to obey Indonesian rules and laws and will not involve in any work activities

All of the documents are submitted online through the admission website of each university. The applicant needs to supply a certified English translation for a non-English document.
